Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: September 2026

ShopReviewer is a participant in affiliate marketing programs and earns commissions from qualifying purchases. This page explains what that means, in plain terms, so you can read our content with the full picture.

What an affiliate link is

Many of the links on this website that point to a brand, retailer, or product are affiliate links. If you click one of those links and then make a purchase, the retailer or brand may pay us a commission on that sale. We may also be compensated for other qualifying actions, such as a sign-up or a completed enquiry, depending on the program.

It costs you nothing extra

You never pay more because you arrived through our link. The commission is paid by the merchant out of its own margin, and the price you see is the price the merchant is offering. In some cases a brand offers a discount through affiliate partners, in which case you may pay less.

How compensation affects our content

We publish reviews of brands we have affiliate relationships with and of brands we do not. Being in an affiliate program does not guarantee a positive review, and we describe limitations, trade-offs, and reasons a product may not suit a particular reader. That said, we want you to weigh two facts honestly:

  • We have a financial incentive when you buy something through our links.
  • Our reviews are based on publicly available information rather than on hands-on testing of every product. See our About Us page for our full research method.

For those reasons, treat our content as a research starting point, not as independent product certification, and confirm the details that matter to you with the brand before you buy.

Programs and third parties

We participate in a range of affiliate networks and direct brand programs. When you follow an affiliate link, the network or merchant may set cookies or record the referral in order to attribute the sale. That activity is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data on our own site.

Sponsored and gifted content

If a brand pays us for placement, supplies a product free of charge, or otherwise provides consideration beyond a standard affiliate commission, we label that content as sponsored within the article itself.

Regulatory basis

This disclosure is made in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
